There is nothing better than a Slurpee from the 24/7 Convenience Store – they have ice cream on top! Amy says those Slurpees along with a great support system make living in Regina worthwhile. Back in her day Amy was a really great kickboxer and says that the sport taught her both respect and perseverance. While she is still very interested in kickboxing, her disability no longer allows her to participate. She also used to be a counselor and still uses her knowledge to be an open ear for people in order to help them. Drawing on the skills she has learned through her career as well as her sport, Amy is working on herself and trying to get her health in order. It would be a dream come true if she could get her disability recognized by Income Assistance and she is focused on trying to make that happen.
