Lauren, born April 4, 1982 is a strong and resilient mom who started her family at the age of 18 years old. Lauren has 3 kids living with her in the women’s shelter as they have all experienced trauma and abuse. Laurents other 2 kids are adults and live on their own. Lauren grew up in Ontario where her kids were born before having to move to Regina to flee violence. Lauren would describe her adult children as “so driven and motivated” while her 17-year-old son is a great helper and very protective. Lauren’s middle daughter is true to herself, smart and good at setting boundaries while her youngest daughter is creative. Lauren’s current struggles are financial stability, having to rely on other’s transportation and the ongoing healing from the trauma. Lauren is currently enrolled into the U or R in January and hopes to gain financial stability and continue to be on the path of healing.
This Christmas Lauren is asking for a gift card to Walmart or Superstore but would also like a gift card to Marshalls. Her son is asking for a gift card to an Xbox or Game stop. Lauren’s one daughter is requesting a prepaid Visa/Sephora gift card and the other daughter wants a gift card to Michael’s to purchase more craft supplies.
