This single mom is caring for a large family! For the first half of her life, Samantha grew up on Carry the Kettle First Nation and Kawacatoose First Nation. When her parents decided to pursue post-secondary education, the family moved to Regina where Samantha started her own family shortly after graduating from high school. She refers to her children as “bright young souls”; and finds them to be amazing! They are kind, loving, giving, respectful, caring, considerate, and thoughtful. Finding suitable housing for a family of nine is a challenge, to say the least. While Samantha is very grateful that her reserve is currently helping with housing, her goal is to find a forever home for her and her kids. She also plans to complete her post-secondary education in order to provide the best life possible for her family. She wants all of them to become successful adults.
