Shaunna grew up on Ahtahkakoop First Nation (Sandy Lake) near Prince Albert and about four hours from Regina. Wanting more opportunities to further her education and work experience she moved here three years ago. Shaunna has a big heart. She has 2 small children of her own and took in her 3 nieces to provide them with a loving home.
Willow is a helpful, caring teenager who loves to draw and make short movies on her phone. Christie is also helpful and loving. She enjoys learning and playing soccer and other sports. Locklyn has a great sense of humour. She loves going to school, drawing and making crafts. Amelia loves cuddling, playing soccer and Nintendo 64. The youngest, Duncan, is learning so much. He loves cuddling, cars and colouring. Shaunna tells us they are barely getting by. She is thankful for the Food Bank and the support of the North Central Family Center. She would like to get her driver’s license and also return to school.
