Amanda is a single mother of two who has faced an incredibly hard year, having fled a violent relationship while battling cancer that often leaves her hospitalized for long periods of time. She is deeply thankful for her two sons: 13-year-old Dave, who is on the autism spectrum and brings such light to their lives and 16-year-old Karl, who has stepped up in a remarkable way to help care for both his mom and brother during these challenges.
