Living all over Manitoba when she was younger, Charlene still remembers how much she loved coming to Regina to visit her Grandma and the feeling of safety that she had when she was
here. She moved to Regina in January 2025, and is currently attending the U of R and working on a Bachelor’s Degree. Being a full-time student and single mom is overwhelming at times, but
her kids mean the world to her and she knows that the hard work now will pay off in the future. With a sparkle in her eye she talks about what her kids mean to her; “I love Joelene’s strength,
she stands beside me when I am having a tough time, Joycee is adventurous, responsible and accountable, Trishelle brings balance and is full of love, light and innocence”. Charlene hopes
that she is setting a good example for her kids so that they will succeed in their studies.
