Colby grew up in Saskatoon and moved often, calling herself a “travelling girl” who always felt most at home in small towns. She came to Regina to create stability for her children and to find affordable housing. Her family began in 2008 with the birth of her daughter, Rain, whose arrival was frightening at first but ended with relief when she recovered quickly. Colby proudly describes Rain as a talented artist, Tarrin as her loving sweetheart, Stone as her gentle “little mouse,” and Dusty as her happy, hug-loving baby. She is working hard to keep her children supported and connected while searching for safe, stable housing. Her hope is to one day have all her children together under one roof in a home of their own.
