She’s willing to give a hand where she can, all while raising children and “dealing with homelessness and seeking resources.” Having grown up on Standing Buffalo First Nation, she
came to Regina to pursue her education. Her family story started in 2002 when she met ‘that certain someone’ while she was attending university. “They are all unique, smart, very
respectful,” Merrilee says of her children. “And they do well in school, [are] academic.”
