R is 18 years old and spent much of his childhood in foster care, carrying experiences that often made him feel out of place and unsure where he belonged. Even though those early years were filled with confusion and bullying, he has shown remarkable strength and perseverance through every challenge. After recently experiencing homelessness for a few months, he now has his very first apartment; a place that’s finally his own, where he can exhale and begin rebuilding a sense of stability. Each day, R is learning to trust himself a little more and feel proud of how far he’s come. He’s still figuring out what his future will hold, but he’s determined to build a life that reflects his resilience, courage, and the steady progress he continues to make.
