Shayla was born and raised on Yellowquill First Nation but travelled back and forth from the city because her friends and family lived in Regina. Shayla started her family in 2013 and says that her son Asher grew up with her, side by side, because she was still a kid herself. She describes her daughter Colby as very independent and motherly, and her daughter Kyller as the better part of herself, and a little girl who is happy. Shayla is currently struggling with the cost of living and would like to find a better home for her family in a better area.
