I grew up right here in Regina, and this city has always felt like home to me. One of my favourite things about living here is spending time around Wascana Lake in the summertime—it’s peaceful, beautiful, and gives me a sense of calm. Family to me right now means love and comfort, the kind of steady support that helps us get through anything. My two children are both intelligent, loving, and gifted in their own ways, and I’m so proud of the people they’re becoming. One of our challenges at the moment is helping them get along a little better, but we’re working on building patience, kindness, and understanding in our home. Even with the ups and downs, I try to focus on the love that keeps us close. My hope for the future is to go back to school so I can create more opportunities for myself and my kids and show them the importance of never giving up on your goals.
