Her faith in Jesus is her compass, her hope. Shirley is from Buffalo Narrows. Her family had to move from the community when her grandfather was being treated for Tuberculosis at the sanatorium in Fort Qu’Appelle. Home is important to her and she spends time organizing her space so her 13 grandchildren feel welcome when they visit. She enjoys doing home-y things like sewing and curling up in a chair to read
