Tracy was born in Calgary and moved to Regina at the age of three, growing up in a home marked by dysfunction, addiction, and mental health struggles. Despite the chaos around her, she discovered early on that she had a creative spirit, once finding joy in making jewelry and expressing herself through her hands and imagination. Though it has often been difficult for her to find activities that bring her true enjoyment, Tracy’s greatest treasure has always been the time she shares with her 22-year-old daughter. Today, she speaks with pride about being nine months into her recovery, a journey she continues with courage and determination. Living with chronic pain has kept her homebound much of the time, but moving into her own apartment a few months ago has given her a sense of independence and a fresh start. Looking ahead, Tracy holds onto hope: she is committed to her recovery, focused on improving her health, and dedicated to building an honest, sober, and meaningful life for herself.
